Be confident without arrogance. Match JD needs to your proof.
Formula
1. Role needs (SQL, pipelines, quality, ownership) 2. Your proof (project/internship outcomes) 3. Working style (curious, reliable, communicates) 4. Growth trajectory (ready to learn Spark/cloud/etc. on the job)
Example outline
> You need someone who can write solid SQL, ship scheduled pipelines, and care about data quality. I've done that in internship/projects: daily loads, tests, and clear docs. I learn fast and ask clarifying questions early. I may not know every tool in your stack yet, but I have the fundamentals and ownership habits to ramp quickly.
Fresher-honest advice
Don't claim senior architecture skills. Sell fundamentals + ownership + coachability.
Interview tip: End with excitement to contribute to *their* problems.
