dbt exposures let you document which dashboards depend on which models, but keeping them updated manually every time someone builds a new Looker or Tableau dashboard feels like it'll rot immediately. Is there a lighter-weight way to get the same value?

Manual exposures rot unless there's a process forcing updates. The value is real, knowing what breaks downstream before you change a model, but only if dashboard creation includes a step to register the exposure, ideally enforced by a lightweight PR template or checklist rather than pure goodwill.
